Pound cake! I was lucky enough to find someone with similar tastes to mine to partner up with, so we took the bland base recipe and added lemon zest and almond extract. As such, we had the best cake in the class, in my opinion. (Those who follow my Twitter may have seen mention of carrot cake- stay tuned! We made a nice carrot cake and the icing will go on next week!)
